seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Consulting Animal
Technician to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare industry. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch care to
a variety of animals in a healthcare setting. You will work closely
with a team of professionals to ensure the health and well-being of
the animals under our care. This role is perfect for individuals
who are passionate about animal health and are eager to utilize
their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities: 1. Provide exceptional care to a variety of
animals, including small animals and dogs, ensuring their health,
comfort, and safety at all times. 2. Assist in the operation of the
laboratory, including sample collection, analysis, and data
recording. 3. Collaborate with the veterinary team to diagnose and
treat animal health issues. 4. Participate in research projects,
contributing to the advancement of animal science. 5. Maintain
clean and sanitary animal facilities, following all institutional
and regulatory guidelines. 6. Conduct regular inspections of animal
housing and care facilities to ensure compliance with animal
welfare standards. 7. Educate clients on preventative care,
treatment plans, and proper animal handling techniques. 8. Assist
in surgical procedures, providing pre and post-operative care to
patients. 9. Regularly communicate with the veterinary team and
clients to ensure the highest standard of care is being provided.
Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar
role, preferably within the healthcare industry. 2. Degree in
Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related field is highly
desirable. 3. Proven experience in an animal hospital or small
animal hospital setting. 4. Exceptional knowledge of animal health
and diseases. 5. Proficient in laboratory procedures, including
sample collection and analysis. 6. Excellent communication skills,
with the ability to effectively communicate with both the
veterinary team and clients. 7. Demonstrated ability to handle a
variety of animals safely and effectively. 8. Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under
pressure. 9. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and
holidays, as required. 10. Must possess a genuine love for animals
