Affairs Strategy is a pivotal leadership role within IDEAYA’s
Medical Affairs organization. We are seeking a dynamic and
experienced professional to lead and shape the development,
implementation, and execution of our medical affairs strategy,
ensuring scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and improved
patient access through pre-launch and launch. This individual will
play a critical role in ensuring that medical initiatives align
with corporate objectives and that high-quality, evidence-based
information is delivered to both internal and external
stakeholders. This position is based in our South San Francisco
headquarters office and required to be onsite four days per week
per our company policy, reporting in to the SVP Medical Affairs.
What you'll do: Responsible for leading, developing, and executing
the Medical Affairs strategy in alignment with company objectives,
as part of a multi-year pre-launch and launch plan focused on
enabling patient access and improving health outcomes. Deliver
cross-functional medical and scientific leadership expertise to
support the implementation of regulatory approval strategies, as
well as the clinical evaluation and mitigation of product-related
risks in preparation for launch. Provide strategic medical input
working with Clinical Development and Commercial to support product
launch preparation and lifecycle management. Develop and lead Key
Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement initiatives, establishing and
sustaining strong relationships with KOLs, academic institutions,
medical societies, and patient advocacy groups. Oversee the
planning, development, and execution of medical education programs,
advisory boards, and scientific symposia. Lead the strategy and
planning for medical conferences and represent IDEAYA Biosciences
by providing scientific expertise at key events. Ensure adherence
to all applicable regulatory requirements and industry best
practices. Contribute to cross-functional scientific, medical, and
regulatory review teams as required. Requirements: Minimum is
graduate degree. Advance degree is preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD) 10
-12 years of experience in Medical Affairs or relevant fields
(health economics, epidemiology, health services research), and
development of publications within therapeutic areas. Demonstrated
success in planning and executing medical strategies, complemented
by strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability
to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
effectively. Proven ability to independently manage complex
non-interventional study projects Strong leadership abilities with
a proven capacity to inspire, motivate, and foster effective
cross-functional collaboration. Deep understanding of the U.S.
healthcare system, including regulatory frameworks, payer dynamics,
and healthcare provider networks. Strong interpersonal skills are
essential, including the ability to interact and communicate
effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners.
Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, smaller company is
preferred. $316,285 - $390,705 a year At IDEAYA Biosciences, we

The expected salary range for this role that is based in our South
San Francisco, California office is $316,285 - $390,705. The final
salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several
factors that may include but are not limited to the office location
where this open position is located, the final candidates’
experience within their profession, experience in the disease areas
we are striving to make an impact in as a company, length of time
within the industry, educational background, and performance during
the interview process. The Company complies with all laws
