Position Overview:Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is the foundation of Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 29 acute care hospitals, more than 5,000 primary care physicians and specialists, home health, occupational health, psychiatric care and more. The downtown Sacramento medical center is made up of several facilities that include Ose Adams Medical Pavilion, Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's Center, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry.Ose Adams Medical PavilionThe 281-bed specialty medical center focuses on general acute medical/surgical care as well as a medical base to advanced services for cancer, orthopedics, spine, and neurology, and neurosurgery.Anderson Lucchetti Women's & Children's CenterThe 242-bed specialty medical center focuses on women's and children's specialty services and includes medical intensive care units for cardiac and neurological patients.The Facilities Operation Manager is responsible for efficient facility and building maintenance. Provides management support of facility operation team with a focus on the non-acute environment service efficiency and reporting management. -Manages and oversees all facility related project work to include departmental facility planning, staff relocations, space configurations, building maintenance and vendor management. -Administers the Preventative Maintenance program to ensure maximum effectiveness and documentation. Develops and implements best practices in building services and workplace services, including, but not limited to site services, standardization, moves and space management (MAC), inventory management, regulatory compliance, and facilities oversight of minor renovations. Directly supports staff on the above mentioned functions. Qualifications:Education, Licensure and Certification Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management Or equivalent education/experience is required.Requirements
    • Technical training in plant engineering or relevant facilities operational and management experience as typically acquired in 5 years.
    • Progressively responsible work experience in Facilities Management and Project Management as typically obtained in three or more years, with demonstrated ability to lead, plan and organize, preferably in a large facility environment or similar.
    • Five or more years of vendor management and contract scoping required.
    • Management and monitoring of large budgets and facility management.
    • Project management methodologies and practices.Preferred Qualifications
      • Health Care management, facility management or mid level management experience is preferred.
      • Building Facility or trade skill Certifications is desired - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.
      • Managing a facility in multiple locations and experience in negotiating purchases is preferred.
      • Extensive experience with PCs and windows-based software, with a strong proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio as well as MS Project.Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:
        Experience with vendor and construction agreements.Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.Good understanding of offices machines (printers, copiers, fax, etc) configuration and setup.Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution -abilities and work group facilitation skills.Demonstrated negotiation skills balancing attention to details with an ability to operate strategically.Leadership skills and the ability to initiate and maintain clear communications.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, manage and balance multiple interests, and resolve conflicts.Consultative skills to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions.Strong client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between FPS and Affiliate leadership.Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and business communications computer software programs, Microsoft Word, Projecto, Excel and/or other real estate asset management software is preferred.Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Possess working knowledge of local building codes and OSHA regulations.Strong analytical and problem solving skills to provide support to the various customers of the Sutter Health system.Handle multiple priorities and have the ability to prioritize workload, formulate workable plans and consistently meet established deadlines.Excellent customer service, time management and prioritization skills.Experience managing and working with multiple vendors. Leadership and management skills, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and oral), including excellent composition, grammar, vocabulary and spelling as well as a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.Well organized and capable of managing a high volume of diverse issues and complex information, using independent judgment and discretion and be able to work with minimal supervision.
