Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in step-down care, neuro experience, and recent Epic system proficiency. The role involves working in a 19-bed mixed ICU unit featuring specialties in neuro, medical, trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic care. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while floating between the ICU and Progressive Medical Care Unit (PMCU) with a manageable 3:1 patient ratio. Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced step-down setting with neuro and surgical patients. Manage EBD drains and support complex patient needs, excluding open heart procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and facility standards. Support trauma patients, with Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred. Utilize Epic electronic health records to document and coordinate patient care efficiently. Qualifications: Current California RN license. Minimum two years of RN experience in acute care. Neuro nursing experience with management of EBD drains. Epic experience within the past year, able to pass Epic pre-assessment. Ability to float between ICU and PMCU. TNCC certification is a plus. Schedule: Contract position with a needed start date closely aligned with the facilitys requested timeline. Up to 36 hours of call-off coverage available at no cost during the assignment.
