Roles & Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the outpatient operating room Maintain aseptic technique and ensure sterile fields are established and preserved Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes Prepare patients for surgery and provide clear, compassionate education and reassurance Respond effectively in trauma or emergent situations at this Level II Trauma center Float to the main OR when needed to support surgical volume and team needs Qualifications Current California Registered Nurse license (required) Current BLS and CPR certifications (required) At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience (required) EPIC experience (required) to handle perioperative documentation with confidence Successful completion of prior travel assignments preferred ACLS preferred PALS preferred Willingness to work some weekends and float to main OR as needed Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred) Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique Comfortable with outpatient surgery workflows and rapid patient turnover Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records Ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate clearly in fast-paced OR settings Familiarity with trauma protocols and Level II Trauma center processes Teamwork mindset and adaptability when floating between outpatient and main OR Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision coverage so you can focus on care, not paperwork Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your CA RN credential current Travel reimbursement and support for a smooth assignment Paid Time Off to recharge between cases Life Insurance and basic protections for peace of mind A supportive team that values YOU and your clinical expertise Referral bonus program to reward you for bringing great people onboard Access to ongoing training and EPIC documentation support Travel Perks: Explore Chico, CA Chico is a delightful base for your travel assignment.
