qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Walnut Creek, California, 94598!
Pay Information $2,295 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 12H Day Hours per Shift: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM (may vary)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience. Pediatric
experience required. License: CA RN license required
Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only) Must-Have: Extensive
PACU experience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Description:
This position involves working in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
(PACU). The total number of facility beds is 321, with 21 beds in
the PACU. The average length of patient stay in PACU is 1-4 hours.
Patient population includes general surgery covering all
specialties, except open heart surgeries, including pediatrics.
Additional equipment available includes respiratory support and
anesthesia support 24/7. The patient care modality is primary
nursing. Documentation is managed through an electronic system.
Staffing includes a unit clerk working from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Nurse-to-patient ratio is guided by applicable nursing standards.
On-call requirements are assigned based on a set schedule. This
position does not require floating to other units. The dress code
requires scrubs of any color, without denim, and professional
appearance is mandatory. Footwear must be non-skid and closed toe,
with heel straps for clogs. Jewelry must be minimal and
professional, with no visible facial piercings other than earrings.
Hair must be kept neat, with shoulder-length or longer hair pulled
back, and facial hair must be trimmed. Nail polish should be
presentable, without gels or extensions and kept in good condition.
Experience with electronic systems and protocols specific to PACU
