Position Overview: -The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.Qualifications: -Education including Licensure, Certification, Registration:Current licensure California RN. Must have current American Heart Association BLS-HCPC recognition. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS preferred. Certified Emergency Nursing certification preferred. - Current ACLS Recognition required. Current PALS Certification required. -Experience:Proven experience in ED. One (1) year of nursing experience preferred, ideally in an Emergency Department. Certified Emergency Nursing certification preferred. Emergency Department experience preferred. -Knowledge:Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills. - In depth knowledge of nursing process in assessment of physical, psychosocial and psychological needs of patients. - Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching of patients and families. - -Skills:Independently practices and prioritize multiple demands in a ever-changing environment.
