SummaryDirects the Facilities Department and creates a safe and efficient work environment that improves business performance and optimizes staff productivity. Responsible for the planning, organizing and directing of the Facilities Department including strategic planning and budget preparation and oversight. Ensures department projects are completed timely and that personnel and resources are optimally utilized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Directs, plans and supervises the functions/activities of the Facilities Department either personally or through supervisors and managers Directs, supervisors and evaluates department staff; Ensures staff receives training related the specific job tasks and responsibilities as well as safety Directs, schedules and oversees external contractors Implements policies and procedures Develops and administers short and long-range plans for construction remodeling, and modernization of facility. Project administrator for construction projects Develops specifications and monitors results for cost-effective energy management systems Develops, implements and directs preventative maintenance and renovation programs for buildings, grounds, mechanical and electrical, utility and safety/security systems Prepares, implements, and evaluates the yearly strategic plan for the department Prepares and recommends operating and capital budget and controls expenditures within the budget Directs projects to ensure completion within established time frames, project design and budget Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations affecting the facility Performs personnel functions for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget. Prepares specifications for RHC projects, estimates the costs of equipment, materials, labor and supplies; prepares bid specification for projects, equipment and contracted services; oversees site and building projects performed by outside contractors/vendors Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unitby Jobble
