• Be part of a cross-functional team implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for critical business needs in the insurance industry.
• Serve as a primary stakeholder and key developer for the complete end-to-end GenAI workflow at Guidewire.
• Design, test, and build GenAI infrastructure for Guidewire Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Create data solutions, prompt engineering for models, fine-tuning, and deploying GenAI solutions.Guidewire's GenAI team is a center of excellence for machine learning and AI. This role offers an opportunity for individuals motivated by learning cutting-edge technologies and applying them to solve real-world business problems. Guidewire is the AWS for insurance companies using our platforms and applications. The solutions you develop will be used by hundreds of insurance companies and impact billions of dollars in transactions annually.Job DescriptionRequirements:
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional competency.
  • Knowledge of ML Ops practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Expertise in Python programming.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies such as S3, EC2, RDS.
  • Experience developing model pipelines using AWS Sagemaker.
  • Experience with statistical learning algorithms like GLM, XGBoost, Random Forest.
  • Deep understanding of neural network and transformer algorithms for large language and chat models.
  • Familiarity with open source LLM foundation models.
  • Prompt engineering and fine-tuning concepts for LLM performance.
  • Experience creating and using vectorized databases.
  • Knowledge of LLM architecture patterns such as RAG and FLARE.
  • Understanding of LLM performance evaluation and NLP metrics.Preferred Skills:
    • Data engineering with SQL, Spark, or AWS Glue.
    • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes for deployment.
    • Creating API services for backend functionality.
    • Experience with TeamCity and Terraform for infrastructure and CI/CD.
    • Insurance industry or related experience such as banking and finance.The US base salary range is $176,000 - $308,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary depends on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education.
